File contains five copies of the book A Short Guide in Architecture, Painting, Sculpture and Landscape Architecture for Italy, Excluding the Following Cities: Rome, Florence, Venice, Siena, Perugia, Milan, Naples and Pompeii, Bologna, Genoa and Palermo. The guide was originally prepared by Edwin H. Blashfield and William M. Kendall. This is the second edition; the first edition was prepared in 1916. The book lists site, object of interest and which discipline that object is applicable. Fellows were encouraged to visit as many of these sites as possible and to use the guide as a base to take notes.
