File contains three photocopies of an article from "Architectural Record" titled, "The American Academy in Rome" by Charles Henry Cheney. This article examines the purpose and opportunities of the AAR, mainly with regard to its position in education of American architects.

The article also highlights the changes and additions that were taking place at the Academy during that time in history- the merging of the American School for Classical Studies with the Academy; the bequest of the Villa Aurelia and the extensive buildings in which are being erected near site.
