Arrangement

The slides were classified following Harvard's Fogg Museum System of Classification by Mrs. Roger Sessions (AAR Library Annual Reports 1928-1929). The existing catalog consists of descriptive cards (ca.4.500): ca. 1.500 ordered by negative number and ca. 3.000 organized by subject with glued miniature photographs of each slide. The present organization of items and the catalog follows the negative numerical order. Miniature photographs of each slide (glued on the descriptive cards) are available for consultation. All items are individually preserved in the Academy's cold storage facility. The collection was preserved and cataloged thanks to the support of the Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation.
