The Bini collection (ca. 3000 prints, ca. 2000 contacts and ca. 1500 slides) focuses on archaeological sites in Rome and the Roman world, and also includes images of Etruscan art, and Medieval and Renaissance art and architecture.

The collection consists of photographs of various sites, all produced by A. Henry Detweiler during his trips in Italy, Greece, Asia Minor and the Middle East. The photographs document the ancient architecture, landscape and archaeological surveying of these areas. Some of the images represent people and everyday life in the visited countries.

Of the thousands of photographs that Aronson and Millon took during the two flights, only 300 of the clearest images were selected for the publication of the Portfolio. Aronson published the Portfolio in 1979 through his company, Aerpicfoto, which at the time was located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
